Elastic dentures are made of hard but flexible thermoplastic materials that do not contain monomers that are toxic to the body. These materials are already polymerised and are heat moulded. The most commonly used materials for making elastic dentures are Flexite-Plus, Flexite Northerm, Flexite Supreme, Flexite M.P., Flexite Bruxism and Flexite Guard.
Because they are elastic and flexible, these dentures have a longer lifespan and high strength. The base of the elastic dentures is a light pink colour that mimics the soft tissue of the oral cavity.
